Tesserae ("we," "us," "our") provides a personal finance tracking application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by Tesserae Finance LLC, based in Ohio, USA.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address and an encrypted password, used to create and secure your account.
• Financial information you enter. The Service is manual-entry. The account balances, budgets, snapshots, holdings, and other figures you type in are stored so we can display and sync them for you. We do not connect to your bank and never ask for bank login credentials.
• Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by our payment providers (Stripe, via RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your full card number — that is handled by Stripe. We receive limited subscription status (e.g., active, trial, canceled).
• Technical data. Basic information your browser or device sends automatically (e.g., IP address, device/browser type) and error logs, used to operate and secure the Service.

How we use your information

• To provide, sync, and maintain the Service across your devices.
• To process subscriptions and free trials.
• To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
• To communicate with you about your account or the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.

How your data is stored and protected

Your data is stored with our cloud infrastructure providers (see below). Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and access to your data is restricted to your own account through per-user database security rules. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Service providers

We share information only with vendors that help us run the Service, under their respective privacy terms:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Stripe and RevenueCat — subscription billing and management.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Cloudflare — domain, DNS, and email routing.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export your data at any time from within the app, and you may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (or using in-app account deletion where available). We may retain limited records as required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these, contact us at the address below. You may also manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the app or your payment provider.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in the app.
